DTEK Renewables company has commissioned Tryfonivska Solar Power Plant (SPP) with the capacity of 10 MW in Kherson Region. The power plant is connected to the United Energy System of Ukraine and generates “green” energy.
Construction works at Tryfonivska solar power plant started in March and were completed in the second half of July 2017. The SPP is equipped with 37,000 solar panels by JA Solar and power inverters by ABB. From August 1, the power plant has been generating electric power and supplying it to Ukraine’s energy system.
Annually, the power plant will generate 11-12M kWh of “green” energy, which is sufficient to supply power to 15 nearby villages. Thanks to Tryfonivska SPP, СО2 emissions will be curbed by about 12,000 tonnes as conventional power plants will have to generate less energy.
“Tryfonivska SPP is the first project of DTEK Renewables in the solar energy sphere. Its results will underpin the company’s development strategy in this segment. It was important for us to get results this year,” said Victoria Syromiatova, Director of DTEK Renewable Energy Business. “Power plant construction was completed in record time largely thanks to assistance of the regional and district authorities, the State Architectural and Construction Inspection and other institutions. It can be safely said that Kherson Region favours investors.”
