The Figh for Light
Since 2014, DTEK has acted as a frontline defender of Ukraine’s energy system, restoring power after
every attack, protecting critical infrastructure and investing in a more resilient, decentralised energy future.
Our teams work 24/7, often under fire, to keep homes, hospitals and essential services running, even as russia continues its attacks on Ukraine’s energy system.
“Almost four years on from full-scale invasion, I feel immense pride at what we have achieved and approach the future with true hope.”

Energy transition: Building a resilient and sustainable future
We are accelerating Ukraine’s energy transition to strengthen long-term energy security.

This includes synchronising Ukraine’s power system with ENTSO-E in 2023, integrating the country into the European energy market, and advancing flagship renewable projects such as the 500 MW Tyligulska wind farm, the first large-scale wind project built in Ukraine during wartime.

  • Accelerating renewables to strengthen Ukraine’s energy security
  • ENTSO-E synchronisation with Europe (2023)
  • 500 MW Tyligulska wind farm (the first large wind farm built during war)
  • 200 MW / 400 MWh battery storage to stabilise the system
  • Poltavska wind farm: 650 MW – next wave of wind capacity
  • Expanding renewable projects across Europe
