Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK Energy has employed over three thousand internally displaced persons

DTEK Energy companies continue to strengthen the reliability of thermal generation, prepare for the upcoming heating season, and support the communities in the regions where they operate.

Since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion, the company's coal mining, energy, and machine-building enterprises have provided jobs for more than 3.1 thousand internally displaced people. Most of them were previously forced to leave their homes because of the occupation or the proximity of hostilities.

More than 80% of those employed joined the teams of DTEK Energy's coal mining companies. Most did not have a mining specialty and were retrained on the job. There are also a lot of young people who found their first job at Ukrainian mines.

"The past winter showed everyone how much extra effort is needed to get through the winter with light and warmth, despite any attempts by the enemy to plunge Ukraine into darkness. We have been preparing hard for six months to strengthen the energy front for the coming winter.New employees are also contributing, as we need to intensify coal mining, produce equipment for mines, generate electricity, and support the Ukrainian power grid during peak consumption. So we continue to do everything possible not only to hold the energy front but also to bring victory closer by supporting communities and people," said DTEK Energy CEO Ildar Saleev.
