DTEK helps Lviv region in the fight against the spread of coronavirus: the regional headquarters for counteraction has launched the STOP COVID-19 website

Everyone, the business of the region, and caring citizens can find on the website data on the needs of hospitals for the effective fight against a pandemic, as well as information on how to join this struggle.

“We are sincerely convinced that only through the joint efforts of representatives of society, business and government we can help our country resolve the issues that it faces in this emergency. As early as December 2019, DTEK signed a Memorandum on supporting community initiatives in the Lviv region, and we will continue to direct our efforts to supporting the community. As a socially responsible business, we believe that together we can stop the spread of the virus and protect our citizens.
We also urge other businesses to join this initiative and make their contribution so that the region can stop the spread of the disease. After all, this is only possible through the joint efforts of business, government and citizens”, emphasized DTEK Energy Director for Regional Policy Tatiana Overina
“Today the whole Lviv region, all of Ukraine, the entire world are experiencing a complex social and humanitarian crisis of the 21st century - the covid-19 pandemic. Overcoming it is a serious challenge to the authorities, local governments and communities. Society should unite in order to overcome the consequences of the epidemic and work together ahead of schedule, as no family is immune from its threat”, said the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration Maxym Kozytskyi.

The site of the Lviv regional headquarters for countering the pandemic STOP COVID-19 is a pilot site and in the near future similar platforms with the support of DTEK will appear in other regions where DTEK enterprises operate.

DTEK will also provide assistance to the regions of Ukraine through the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, which has already allocated UAH 300 million to support Ukrainian hospitals in the fight against coronavirus. Already today, 300’000 testing kits, which will be distributed by region, were supplied to the Ministry of Health. In the near future, the first batch of ventilators and rapid tests will go to the supporting hospitals in the Lviv region. Including the Kamenka-Bug central hospital, which services are used by residents of Dobrotvor and employees of DTEK Dobrotvorska TPP, working in isolation to ensure stable energy supply to the region and minimize the spread of infection.
