YASNO helps customers reduce their carbon footprint

YASNO, a supplier of electricity, natural gas, and energy-efficient solutions, is developing a sustainable business and helping to reduce its impact on the climate. Green products and solutions offered by YASNO can reduce CO2 emissions by 300K tons per year. The supplier’s environmental contribution was noted by TOP-100 Ratings of the Largest, the magazine that gives awards the leaders of sustainable business in Ukraine.

As a reminder, D.Solutions Group, an operating holding company within the DTEK Group, is developing a YASNO-brand retail electricity and gas supply business for 3.5 million customers in Kyiv and 5 regions, and offering energy efficiency and electric mobility solutions to help customers reduce energy costs and generate an extra income through green technology.

UFuture, Kyivstar, EPAM Ukraine, Danone Ukraine, Farmak, Electrolux Ukraine, and other companies also made it to the rating. Their representatives gathered at the Sustainable Business Summit organized by Ekonomika+ business/media bureau in partnership with the UN Global Compact in Ukraine and the SUP’s Association of Sustainable Development Leaders to talk about projects that positively impact society.

Yevhen Bushma, Sales and Customer Service Director at YASNO, emphasized that, by developing a sustainable business, the supplier helps Ukrainians to use energy resources rationally and improve comfort through innovative solutions.

According to him, YASNO’s energy-efficient packages can reduce electricity costs at home by up to 50%. The package includes a turnkey dual-zone meter and installation, smart sockets and LED lamps. By applying the night tariff, users pay half the price for electricity consumed from 23:00 to 07:00. Eco packages have been installed for 50,000+ Ukrainian families. They reduce CO2 emissions by 45K tons per year.

There are more than 5,000 domestic solar power plants in Kyiv city, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, where YASNO supplies electricity to the public. Their owners use the generated electricity for their own needs and sell the surplus at a green tariff. Prosumers help reduce CO2 emissions by 123K tons per year.

Last year, electric car drivers got 565K+ kWh of power charged at YASNO E-mobility stations, which is equivalent to reducing CO2 emissions by 380 tons.

“Large industrial enterprises have the greatest potential for significantly reducing the carbon footprint. YASNO invests its own capital in implementing energy service projects, implements them on a turnkey basis, and guarantees customers reduced energy costs. The environmental component of such projects involves the reduction of CO2 emissions. YASNO has implemented 80 energy service projects that it invested UAH 500 mln in. In one year, industrial customer companies save UAH 300 mln in energy costs and reduce CO2 emissions by 140K tons,” said Yevhen Bushma.
