Following the overnight russian missile and drone attack on Kyiv, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 50,000 homes.

Around 40,000 homes remain without power. Where possible, customers are being reconnected through backup supply routes.

Repair crews will begin work on damaged equipment as soon as the security situation allows and permission is given by the military and emergency services.

According to the latest reports, 15 people were killed and at least 33 injured in the attack. 21st August has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv.
