russia attacked multiple DTEK power plants, in several regions of Ukraine early on Saturday, seriously damaging power generation equipment.
This is the sixth massive attack on the company’s thermal power plants since October but the first since 19th November.
No one was injured, however equipment at the coal-fired plants was seriously damaged. DTEK teams are urgently assessing the damage and stabilising the situation. The company is coordinating with national transmission operator Ukrenergo to protect power supplies to Ukrainians.
DTEK cannot disclose the location of the power plants for national security reasons.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, DTEK’s thermal power plants have been attacked by the enemy more than 210 times.
