Today, December 23, russian troops once again carried out a massive attack on the civil and energy infrastructure of Ukraine.

As a result of the shelling, the DTEK Energy facility, which had already been repeatedly attacked by the enemy, was damaged. One employee killed, another one injured. He was promptly given first aid and taken to the hospital.

As a result of the attack, the facilities equipment was damaged. Currently, the station has stopped generating electricity.

After the strike the energy workers will be able to completely evaluate the scale of damage and to start dealing with the the aftermath and doing the recovery job. For security concerns, only the critical employees remain on site of the affected assets; currently everyone is staying at the bomb shelters locally. All other personnel are working remotely for the time being. DTEK Energy continues doing whatever is possible to sustain the reliable work of Ukrainian energy system under conditions of the aggressor’s terror against the energy sector. The company aligns its actions with NEC Ukrenergo.


In September-December, DTEK Energy's energy facilities were subjected to 21 russian terrorist attacks. As a result, 25 energy workers were injured, 3 died. There were also casualties among rescuers and employees of contracting organizations.
