Five DTEK grid engineers in Ukraine's eastern Dnipropetrovsk region were injured, one seriously, on Tuesday in a russian drone attack on DTEK energy infrastructure.
The exploding drone caused a fire and damaged equipment and buildings. One worker sustained severe shrapnel wounds and burns in the blast and remains in critical condition. Four others were left with concussion and shrapnel injuries when they were unable to reach an air-raid shelter in time. All are receiving medical treatment and DTEK is providing full support.
The precise location and type of energy facility cannot be named for security reasons.
DTEK Grid engineers are continuing to carry out their mission to power the lives of millions of people and keep critical infrastructure running across Dnipropetrovsk, despite the daily threat to their lives.
