russian drones struck two DTEK electricity distribution facilities in eastern Ukraine between the evening of 8th October and the early hours of 9th October, damaging equipment and starting fires. No DTEK staff were injured.

The first attack came at about 20:00 on 8th October, when Shahed-type drones hit one of the sites. A detonation on the premises broke windows in an administrative building and set grass alight. DTEK notified the State Emergency Service.

At about 05:36 on 9th October, a jet-powered drone struck a second facility. The impact damaged electrical equipment and caused an oil leak, which ignited. Firefighters began extinguishing the blaze only after the State Emergency Service confirmed there was no threat from unexploded ordnance.
