russia launches fresh attack on DTEK thermal power plant, causing severe damage

russia attacked a DTEK thermal power plant (TPP) close to the frontline on Wednesday night – the fourth strike on the same power station in recent weeks.

We cannot disclose the TPP’s location or the extent of the damage for security reasons.

All employees are safe, and engineers have begun repairs on the severely damaged facility. Power has been restored, and engineers are working to reconnect water supplies to a local town.

DTEK continues to work with grid operator Ukrenergo to ensure the smooth functioning of Ukraine’s energy system.
