The United Nations Global Compact in Ukraine issued an award to DTEK Renewables for constructing the first stage of Tyligulska windfarm (114 MW) amid russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
 
The company was listed among the winners of Partnership for Sustainable Development 2023 award in the “Planet” category.

Head of DTEK Renewables' capital construction department, Artem Smyrnov, , attended the award ceremony. Mr Smyrnov expressed gratitude for the UNGC's attention to the project and spoke about the company's ambitious intentions to continue implementing the DTEK Tyligulska wind farm project.

"Tyligulska wind farm is a unique project, the world's first wind farm built amid war. Our entire team is currently working on attracting investments and engaging in preparations to make our dream of constructing the second stage of Tyligulska wind farm (384 MW capacity) come true. I am grateful for high evaluation of the results of DTEK Renewables’ team work," said Artem Smyrnov.

The UN Global Compact Network Ukraine holds the Partnership for Sustainable Development contest annually.  The most outstanding projects implemented to meet sustainable development goals and in partnership with business, government and society are honored with awards.
 
This year Ukraine competed with over 10 other European countries.
