DTEK underlined its commitment to Ukraine’s next generation last week, at a major event at the American University Kyiv - an institution Academy DTEK is partnering to promote lifelong learning.
At a ceremony at the university’s renovated River Port campus, Dan Rice – an adviser to the Ukrainian military – was inaugurated as the new president of AUK watched by students, staff, board members and former AUK president, Rick Shangrove.
Thanks to Academy DTEK’s financial and academic support for the American University Kyiv, Ukrainian students can enroll in US university programmes without leaving the country. “As a socially responsible business, DTEK always tries to contribute to the transformation of Ukraine both economically and intellectually,”- said Mr Timchenko.
“Supporting educational projects like AUK means helping make a difference to future generations of Ukrainians,. who have a tough and responsible mission: to rebuild Ukraine for the better”.
