A russian drone struck a lorry at one of DTEK’s coal mining enterprises in the Dnipropetrovsk region overnight on 25th October, killing driver Vitalii Shcherbyna while he was on duty.
Vitalii had worked as a driver for 29 years, including 18 years at DTEK. Most recently, he drove a heavy-duty lorry.
During his time at DTEK, Vitalii was recognised on several occasions for his work and professionalism.
He leaves behind a son and daughter.
DTEK extends its condolences to Vitalii’s family, friends and colleagues.
