A DTEK energy worker was murdered by russia as he travelled to work on Friday.
Yurii Filippov, a bulldozer operator at DTEK Energy's Pavlohradvuhillia mine in Dnipropetrovsk region, was killed when the vehicle in which he was travelling was struck by a russian drone. Yurii was the 444th DTEK employee killed by russia since its full-scale invasion in 2022.
Yurii worked in the mechanisation unit at one of DTEK Energy's coal mining enterprises, which continues to operate under sustained aerial pressure on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
