russia launched repeated attacks against a DTEK thermal power plant near the contact line for many hours on Thursday and Friday, damaging equipment but not resulting in any casualties.

No one was killed or injured and engineers immediately began repairs once the shelling had stopped.

russia has sought to systematically destroy Ukraine’s civilian energy infrastructure since its full-scale invasion in February 2022. Like last winter, the occupier has ramped up attacks in recent weeks as temperatures fall and ordinary Ukrainians become more dependent on heating.

In the face of enemy attacks, DTEK will continue to do everything possible to maintain the reliable operation of the Ukrainian power system.
