The concept is reflected in 3 Horizons:

- Solutions to increase efficiency, safety and environmental friendliness of our business

Innovation DTEK continues to look for projects to improve the company's businesses. Innovation challenges have already been published on DTEK's official website

- Solutions to adapt to various facets of the energy transition. New ways to monetize energy assets

In this direction, there are 2 projects: an energy storage system, which is planned to be installed on the site of Zaporizhzhya TPP by the end of the year, and a project on hydrogen.

- New business models outside the energy industry. Data, platforms, consumer offerings.

"Even in the most difficult times, we do not stop our innovation projects. I am convinced that the Innovation DTEK team will play a big role in shaping the company's future. And I’m looking forward to seeing ideas and projects that are not directly related to energy this year,” said DTEK CEO, Maxim Timchenko.

“Challenging times are always a good push for a faster transformation. Innovation beyond the energy boundaries – this is how we defined our Massive Transformative Purpose that is also reflected in our Innovation Horizon 3. Although DTEK’s core business activities mainly involve generating and transmitting electricity, we understand that now is the best time to design and implement new business models and discover new businesses”, - marked Emanuele Volpe, Chief Innovation Officer at DTEK.

In addition, Innovation DTEK continues to develop the innovative skills of the company's employees within ID.Community - a platform where everyone who is interested in new technologies communicates, learns, shares expertise, discusses existing projects and current business cases.

During the event, Innovation Manager Aleksandr Kostin told about the experience of conducting lectures and workshops in virtual reality using the AltspaceVR platform and shared the status of community development. The possibility of using this technology in its curricula and trainings is now also being considered by Academy DTEK, which has already successfully tested it.

DTEK Group is the largest private investor in Ukraine’s energy sector, with 55,000 employees and over €12 billion of capital invested since 2005.

Our businesses generate electricity at wind, solar and thermal power plants; distribute and supply power to end consumers; extract natural gas and coal; trade energy resources on Ukrainian and foreign markets; and provide domestic and commercial energy services.

Over the last 20 years, DTEK has grown into a national energy leader and is today transforming into a pan-European clean energy business.

Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, DTEK Group has restored power to millions of consumers across regions affected by hostilities.

DTEK Group is 100% owned by SCM Holdings. The ultimate beneficiary and sole shareholder is Rinat Akhmetov, a businessman and philanthropist.
