Energy workers of DTEK Dnipro Grids received an award for supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. When Oleksiy Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, was on his visit to Dnipropetrovsk region, he decorated seven employees of the company who were engaged in rebuilding power grids of Dnipropetrovsk region after the enemy’s shellings with medals “For support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

Emergency teams of energy workers bring the lights back for residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region in the hottest locations in the region’s South, where shellings occur regularly. They rebuild the energy infrastructure, damaged by hostilities, almost daily.

According to information from Kryvyy Rih Regional Military Administration when Oleksiy Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, was visiting the Dnipropetrovsk region on May 17, he thanked workers of the rear. He awarded the servants of various professions for providing comprehensive support during russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine and for their fruitful and patriotic cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Among the professionals who received awards from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, there were seven representatives of DTEK Dnipro Grids: electricians of cable and overhead lines, craftsmen of emergency repair teams, as well as controller of emergency response center, who were engaged in the works pertinent to rebuilding overhead lines and ground equipment after the enemy’s shellings.

Professionals of DTEK Dnipro Grids bring the lights back immediately – as soon as they get permission from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine. Our goal is to provide the electricity necessary for the regular daily routines of the region’s inhabitants to the villages and cities.

Since the onset of the full-scale war, DTEK’s energy workers restored electricity supply generally to almost 940 thousand households of the Dnipropetrovsk region (because they needed to bring the lights back to some customers two and more times). Professionals of DTEK Dnipro Grids also provide help in restoring the electricity supply.
