In November, DTEK Renewables power plants generated enough electricity for the needs of 190,000 households

In November 2022, DTEK Renewables generated 28.7 million kWh of green electricity at its generating enterprises. This amount is enough to cover the monthly electricity needs of almost 190,000 households*.

The company supports the operation of its own generating capacities in Ukraine so that they can produce the maximum amount of electricity and thus reduce its deficit during the heating season.

"The state should use all opportunities now to increase its own electricity generation. In this situation, it is the renewables industry that is ready to lend a hand - investors offer to build new capacities. Even in the conditions of war. This chance should be taken advantage of, because the country's survival depends, without exaggeration, on the energy industry,"

said Oleksandr Selyshchev, CEO of DTEK Renewables.

As is known, currently most of the outages occur due to the lack of power in power system after russian military shelling of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

Moreover, after the liberation of a part of the Kherson region by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, DTEK Renewables is preparing for the start of restoration works at the Trifonivska solar power plant. The start of electricity generation at the station will provide additional and independent electricity for the energy supply of the country.

The company's enterprises, which are located in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, do not generate electricity and will resume their work after the de-occupation.

*The average monthly electricity consumption of one household in Ukraine in the amount of about 150 kWh is taken into account. Data: National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission.
