DTEK Wins Eyes & Ears Award, an International Communication Prize

DTEK took first place in the 2021 Eyes & Ears Awards’ special cross-media communications category for DTEK’s New Strategy 2030. The Eyes & Ears Awards is an international design and communications prize celebrating design, digital communications, promotion, cross-media communications, and craft projects. For 23 years, the annual award has been promoting and encouraging creative approaches to communications as well as allowing participants and observers to learn about trends, innovations, and new IT possibilities.

"Transparent, clear, and understandable communication is an important component of building trust between DTEK and our audiences: society, partners, customers, investors, employees. Communicating such an intricate topic as a new business strategy in a world overloaded with news, waging a ‘war for people’s attention,’ and the mindscape increasingly cluttered with growing info noise, required the company to think out of the classic corporate communications box. Not only did DTEK prepare an event, but also developed an integrated communication approach around New Strategy 2030 which attracted the attention of all audiences. Offline presentations, a video interview with DTEK CEO Maksym Timchenko, interactive entertainment, online broadcast on major platforms and other formats allowed us to achieve our communication goals," said Olha Zakharova, DTEK's Chief Communications Officer, adding, "DTEK's victory in the international contest proves that Ukrainian specialists, technologies, and communication strategies can compete with the best world practices. In December 2020, DTEK presented New Strategy 2030. The presentation was held both offline and online, on various digital platforms and social networks. DTEK’s New Strategy 2030 showed a higher degree of openness, and, most importantly, was able to convey to stakeholders the company's ambitious strategic goals for building Ukraine's new energy sector.
