Maxim Timchenko, DTEK CEO, commented on the work of the energy sector in wartime on Deutsche Welle live.

Today, the energy sector of Ukraine has become one of its main goals for russia. More than 50% of the power capacity was destroyed or damaged. More than 1,000 missiles and kamikaze drones were launched at energy facilities in Ukraine. However, even in such conditions, Ukrainian energy companies continue to restore infrastructure and maintain light and heat in the homes of ukrainians.

Тhis is indication of heroism – energy workers every day go to power station knowing that this power station is a target for russian’s missiles. The mission of DTEK is to bring light and warm to people. In such condition this every day job for all of us is example of heroism

– Maxim Timchenko.
