A russian drone struck an administrative building at a DTEK coal facility in Pavlohrad, in Ukraine’s eastern Dnipropetrovsk region today, 1st October.
The strike caused a fire in the building, which was brought under control by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
According to preliminary information, one DTEK employee sustained injuries from shrapnel. A second employee sought medical treatment for an acute stress reaction. Both are in a stable condition.
Emergency services and DTEK teams remain at the site, assessing the damage and carrying out recovery work.
DTEK facilities have been repeatedly targeted since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion. The company’s thermal power plants have been attacked more than 230 times, and its coal enterprises in the Dnipropetrovsk region have also been repeatedly attacked.
