DTEK stands for open public dialogue between all market participants to find a way out of the systemic crisis in the industry. All accusations against DTEK are unfounded and initiated by opponents of the Ukraine’s alignment with Europe and opponents of a free competitive market.

In response to the publication by S. Leshchenko of photocopies of texts attributed to DTEK, and the increasing attempts to accuse DTEK of actions aimed at unilaterally changing market conditions, the company says:

  • Fake information and the published photocopies of the texts, as well as baseless accusations against DTEK, are part of a comprehensive information campaign against DTEK on the order of supporters of administrative interference in the market, which began in September 2019 and had a negative impact on the entire energy industry in Ukraine.
  • Artificial restrictions on the electricity markets; manual regulation and administrative interference in the energy market; a lack of response to manipulations that distorted market competition have contributed to the largest energy crisis in the history of independent Ukraine.
  • DTEK initiated an open dialogue between all market participants and repeatedly presented its vision of the necessary actions to overcome the crisis in the energy sector. We are confident that the Ukrainian consumer cannot be held hostage to manual, unprofessional, administrative interference in the work of the energy market.

DTEK has always upheld and will uphold Ukraine’s European choice, which supports market, transparent and fair working conditions for all market players, as well as uniform rules for all.

DTEK requires an apology and reserves the right to go to court to protect the company's reputation, honor and dignity.
