Innovation DTEK has launched the https://openinnovation.dtek.com/en/  platform, where DTEK publishes queries to find teams, ideas and technologies to address topical issues. With the help of this platform, DTEK plans to collect innovative ideas aimed, in particular, at increasing the level of safety, business efficiency and environmental friendliness of production.

“DTEK was the first in Ukraine to embrace innovation crowdsourcing. We conduct business in the paradigm of open innovation and understand that due to the high speed of technological progress it is quite difficult to develop solutions only relying on internal resources. That's why we created this platform. Our goal is to be as open as possible and build mutually beneficial partnerships around the world to help achieving the company's social and environmental strategic goals,” says Emanuele Volpe, DTEK Chief Innovation Officer.

According to him, if DTEK is interested in a certain idea or technology, the company is ready to refine it together with the author, share expertise and launch a pilot. With the open innovation platform, everyone can submit an idea by responding to one of the requests or visit the “I have a project” section and offer any other solution that might be useful.

DTEK Group is the largest private investor in Ukraine’s energy sector, with 55,000 employees and over €12 billion of capital invested since 2005.

Our businesses generate electricity at wind, solar and thermal power plants; distribute and supply power to end consumers; extract natural gas and coal; trade energy resources on Ukrainian and foreign markets; and provide domestic and commercial energy services.

Over the last 20 years, DTEK has grown into a national energy leader and is today transforming into a pan-European clean energy business.

Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, DTEK Group has restored power to millions of consumers across regions affected by hostilities.

DTEK Group is 100% owned by SCM Holdings. The ultimate beneficiary and sole shareholder is Rinat Akhmetov, a businessman and philanthropist.
