DTEK Grids continues its systematic work to simplify the procedure for hooking-up to power grids for individuals and legal entities. The opening of access to geophysical well logging maps in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk Regions is one of the components of this project. Three months earlier, DTEK Grids, in conjunction with the Ministry of Economic Development and the Better Regulation Delivery Office (BRDO), was the first in Ukraine to provide access to data on power grids in Kiev.

With the help of the geoinformation system, clients can now obtain online information about the location, voltage level, length of overhead lines, addresses and names of transformer substations, power of distribution substations, distance from the land to the point of connection to the grid and the cost of hook-up. All this information helps to plan the future hook-up to networks correctly.

"Our company continues to simplify the procedure for hooking-up to power grids in all regions where our enterprises operate. This is very important for the development of business and investment attractiveness of Ukraine. Simplicity and speed of hooking-up is one of the key parameters according to which the country is assessed in the Doing Business rating in terms of how much the country is generally efficient and competitive. Open access to geophysical well logging maps is one more step towards making the procedure more open and understandable for clients", – commented Ivan Gelyukh, CEO of DTEK Grids. He added that in the future the maps will be supplemented, and their functionality will be expanded.

According to the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On the Electricity Market" and the Code of Distribution Systems, all Ukrainian energy supply companies from January 1, 2019 are obliged to make their power grids public.

Let us recall that the Ministry of Economic Development and BRDO stressed that it is the simplicity and transparency of the conditions of hooking-up to the networks are important indicators when assessing the investment attractiveness of the country according to the Doing Business rating. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, due to the reduction in the cost of hooking-up of electrical installations to DTEK Kiev Grids - a component of rating "Connection to the power grid" - last year Ukraine went up 4 levels and took 76th place in rating "Doing Business 2018: Reforming to create jobs" (Doing Business 2018).
