Today is a moment to recognise the important role compliance professionals play in our success and DTEK’s wider mission to power life.

Compliance helps us stay true to our values. It serves as a compass that guides us through uncertainty; helps us manage risks and ensures we meet the rising expectations of our partners, investors and wider society.

Over the years, DTEK has strengthened our anti-corruption and sanctions compliance efforts as part of our commitment to ethical and sustainable business. For example, most recently we carried out a comprehensive corruption risk assessment with partners at EY Poland to plan how we improve practices in line with global standards.

We also work with global initiatives such as the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative and the UN Global Compact Network Ukraine. Earlier this year DTEK partnered with UN Global Compact in Ukraine to make accessible for dozens of other Ukrainian companies anti-corruption materials developed by over 50 public and private sector experts worldwide.

This work is part of a bigger story. Every day in DTEK’s journey – from our beginnings in Donbas to becoming a European energy player 20 years’ later – our compliance officers been there to protect our integrity and defend the principles that guide us. They may not regularly take the spotlight, but these men and women quietly play a key part in our success and the recovery of our nation.

Over the last 20 years, DTEK has grown into a national energy leader and is today transforming into a pan-European clean energy business.

Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, DTEK Group has restored power to millions of consumers across regions affected by hostilities.
