- DTEK at CERAWeek: Energy security and strategic partnerships
This week, DTEK took part in the CERAWeek conference held in Houston, Texas. Organised by S&P Global, this annual event serves as a prominent platform for exploring a wide array of energy-related topics.
During the conference, DTEK's CEO, Mr. Timchenko, participated in a panel discussion focused on "Energy and the Future of European Security."
"It’s clear to me, Europe’s priority must be energy independence. This means ending russia’s energy blackmail for good, in part by harnessing the power of LNG from the United States.
Our task now is to accelerate these imports and build an energy infrastructure that can truly connect Europe. DTEK is committed to this effort and forging an ‘LNG bridge’ between the US, Europe and Ukraine. At this same conference a year ago I met Venture Global LNG’s Michael Sabel and began a journey that led to our first shipment of LNG to Europe and Ukraine, three months ago.
This is just the first step. By forging deeper partnerships with American peers, Ukraine’s private sector can unlock our country’s immense potential as a destination for energy investments. DTEK has demonstrated what can be done, even during war, " said Maxim Timchenko on his LinkedIn account.
- Russia steps up attacks on DTEK gas and grids facilities
DTEK’s gas production facilities in the Poltava region were attacked by russia on 7th March. DTEK Oil&Gas is Ukraine’s largest private gas producer.
russian forces also targeted DTEK’s electricity grid in the Odesa region for the sixth time in just two and a half weeks, intensifying their attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Power engineers are working to repair the damage and have recently restored electricity to 100,000 households in the region.
Despite ongoing threats, our teams restored electricity to well over half a million households across four key regions in February, and since the beginning of the full-scale invasion have restored power to more than 17.6 million families.

- DTEK CEO speaks at International Energy Week in London
On 25th February, DTEK CEO delivered a speech at the International Energy Week in London, hosted by the Energy Institute.
DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko on his X account:
"In the week marking three years since russia’s full-scale invasion, it was an honour to speak to International Energy Week today: not only about the lessons Ukraine has for the world in strengthening our collective energy security, but also the incredible investment opportunity Ukraine presents as we power the rebuilding of our country.
For too long, we have failed to recognise the role Ukraine can play as an energy provider for the continent. With the full integration of our power system and Europe’s, Ukraine can help Europe achieve energy independence. DTEK is fully committed to this vision."
