DTEK Advisory Council member Pierre Heilbronn tells L'Express why Ukraine has become a country to invest in, not just a country to help.

Pierre Heilbronn knows Ukraine inside out. As Vice-President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and later Emmanuel Macron's Special Envoy for aid to Ukraine, he has spent years making the case for Kyiv's place in Europe. In June, he joined DTEK's Advisory Council.

In an interview with L'Express, he set out why Europe has so much to learn from Ukraine's energy sector.

Ukraine holds Europe’s largest gas storage capacity, vast renewables and nuclear expertise and a fast-moving grid sector.

“It is no longer simply a country that needs aid, but a country of opportunity, in which we must invest, because our future also depends on it,” he said in the interview.
