Murat Cinar

Murat Cinar was appointed CEO of DRI in September 2025, tasked with turning DTEK’s EU renewables business into an active player in Europe’s renewable energy market.

Murat joined DRI from Korek Telecom where he was Chief Transformation Officer and from 2022, its chief executive of a business with 12 million customers. Murat began his career at Ericsson and later moved to Lifecell in Ukraine, where he was Chief Technology Officer from 2011–2015. In 2015, he was appointed CEO of Vega Telecom Group – part of DTEK’s parent SCM Group – leading the company’s eventual sale to Vodafone Ukraine.

Murat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Systems from the National Technical University of Ukraine (KPI) and in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from ODTU Gaziantep in Turkey. He has a Master’s in Management of Foreign Economic Activity from IAPM in Kyiv and executive training from INSEAD.
