Dear colleagues,

20 years — that’s more than just an anniversary date. It’s a story we’ve written together. A long journey of challenges, breakthroughs, victories and, sadly, losses. Back in 2005, we were a young, ambitious team, driven by a strong belief, vision, love for our work, and a hunger for success. We began in Donbas as a regional company. Today, DTEK stands as a national leader and growing European player — our achievements setting the example for the whole energy industry and for our country.

Our story is one of leading the way in technology, in standards, in mindset. DTEK never followed the well-trodden path — we carved our own, we reshaped the industry, and broke the mould. DTEK’s entire history reflects bold ambition in the face of every obstacle.

That is why we remain resilient in the most dramatic times for our country. From day one of the full-scale invasion, DTEK has been on the energy frontline — our power a shield, and support for millions of Ukrainians.

The greatest sorrow is the loss of our people. 373 employees of the company have sacrificed their lives for our future. DTEK people have always been devoted — both to their profession and to their country. Today, over 4,000 of our colleagues are defending Ukraine with weapons in hand. Around 1,000 have already returned to civilian life, and nearly half have rejoined the DTEK family. It is a great honour that our veterans continue their journey with us.

This unity among DTEK people is our greatest strength — the secret of our success. I want to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for your dedication, responsibility, and unwavering resolve.  Each of our employees embodies what DTEK is: strong, resilient, ambitious. You are the ones who turn energy into strength of the future.

We are already building that future today. DTEK clearly understands that energy represents shared values, hope, and life.  I’m convinced that Ukraines experience is key to strengthening Europe’s energy security. Together, we will build a new energy — technologically-advanced and clean. The energy of the future.

We are only just beginning. The greatest strength is you, true DTEK people. You are the energy that powers life.
