DTEK joined the official Ukrainian delegation for participation in the 28th Conference of Parties (COP28) – UN Climate Conference in Dubai, UAE. DTEK has become a partner in creating the Ukrainian pavilion at COP28, which presented the consequences of the Kakhovka Dam disaster and outlined Ukrainian green recovery plans.
At the conference, DTEK and Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas announced that they are ready to implement Ukraine's largest private investment project in the energy sector since independence. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding to complete the construction of the largest wind farm in Eastern Europe, a project supported by the European Commission and the governments of Ukraine and Denmark. The installed capacity of the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant will be 500 megawatts – bringing the total investment at Tyligulska up to at least 650 million euros.

DTEK WINS S&P PLATTS GLOBAL ENERGY AWARD 2023 FOR "GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND"

DTEK Group was honored at the "Oscars of Energy" in New York on December 7 for its contribution to keeping the lights on across Ukraine during the war.

DTEK won the Corporate Impact Award at the 25th S&P Platts Global Energy Awards for "having gone above and beyond in its corporate impact." One of the judges stated, "DTEK is persevering amidst upheaval and crisis … they are a pillar for the people of Ukraine."

RUSSIA CONTINUES TO CARRY OUT TERRORIST ATTACKS AGAINST CIVILIAN AND ENERGY FACILITIES IN UKRAINE

russia launched repeated attacks against a DTEK thermal power plant near the contact line for many hours on Thursday and Friday (December 7-8), damaging equipment but not resulting in any casualties.

There have been 128 attacks on DTEK power stations since the start of the full-scale invasion in February 2022. Over 10,000 (10,883) pieces of DTEK infrastructure have been hit since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

DTEK continues to do everything possible to maintain the reliable operation of the Ukrainian power system and is coordinating its response with power grid operator NPC Ukrenergo.
