November 6 to 18, 2022, Sharm el-Sheikh will host COP27 — the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference. This year, DTEK took part in setting up the very first Ukraine pavilion in the history of COP. Maksim Timchenko, DTEK CEO, will be involved in the discussion, starting the series of events within the framework of the Ukrainian pavilion. The fireside chat "Business for peace: Private Sector Response to the Global Crisis" will be held on November 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Ukrainian pavilion.

Maxim Timchenko said: "Ukraine must play a decisive role in the renewed system of European energy security, free from moscow's blackmail. We are absolutely prepared for the renewable energy of the future, focused around solar, wind, hydrogen generation. Setting up the first Ukrainian pavilion especially at times of war is clear evidence of Ukrainian government and business to build a totally new energy sector in order to become a reliable energy partner of the EU. It's time to look in the future."

In addition to the presentation of the national pavilion, Ukraine will also hold a number of events in the framework of COP 27. The events are aimed at initiating an international dialogue to agree on common approaches on quantifying the damage and effects caused by the war.
