russia escalated its attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on Thursday in an intense barrage against a DTEK power station near the frontline.

Six DTEK power engineers were injured and were transferred to hospital after receiving first aid.

Power generation equipment was severely damaged and DTEK teams are on-site beginning repairs. The power station cannot be named due to reporting restrictions.

The attack comes exactly two years after russia attacked DTEK’s Luhanska power station – in what became the first shots in the full-scale invasion of Ukraine two days later. The enemy has launched over 150 attacks on DTEK Energy's power facilities in two years of full-scale war.
