DTEK's CEO Maxim Timchenko delivered a lecture for students of the College of Europe - the world's first postgraduate training institute in European studies. The lecture topic was the unique experience of the work of DTEK and the entire energy industry of Ukraine in the conditions of full-scale russian aggression and systematic shelling of the energy infrastructure. Maxim Timchenko gave a lecture at the College of Europe at the invitation of Artur Lorkowski, director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community.

During the meeting, DTEK's CEO  talked about the company's challenges and Ukraine's energy industry with the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of russia on February 24. He shared examples of effective anti-crisis management used by DTEK management to ensure the stable operation of the company.

DTEK's CEO also emphasized that Ukraine can become the leading exporter of clean energy to the EU and create the basis for a renewed European energy security system. He noted that DTEK is promoting the idea of building new generation capacities in Ukraine to reach 30 GW of RES by 2030, which would allow exporting of 15 GW of clean energy to the EU.

Maxim Timchenko also wished the students of the College of Europe success in mastering the educational programs. He expressed hope that in the future, he will be able to meet with students when they represent European companies or European institutions and shape the future policy of the European Union. DTEK's CEO urged the students to always remember that Ukraine is an integral part of the European family and to support the recovery of Ukraine and its energy sector.

Background: The College of Europe (founded in 1949) is the world's first postgraduate institution in European studies. It has two campuses in Bruges (Belgium) and Natolin (Poland). The college has a workshop format in the form of discussion platforms in 4 areas, one of which is "Energy and Climate." Within the framework of these platforms, meetings/lectures are held with prominent speakers - representatives of the respective fields. Artur Lorkovskyi, the director of the Secretariat of the Energy Community, is the primary mentor in the field of energy and climate.
