Following the commissioning of the first stage of Tyligulska WPP, DTEK Renewables team continued to work on tasks to complete the construction of the wind farm to the design capacity. Among the important works taking place at the wind farm site is the process of preparing to pour 21 foundations for turbines.

The process requires the use of a special mortar, the so-called "liquid stone," which must be poured continuously and hardens very quickly.

"We will have a new experience as a customer and work supervisor, and not through the general contractor, as it was before,"

said Kostiantyn Bakharev, technical supervision manager.

That is why the contractors will be tasked with ensuring that 11.5 tons of mortar are added to each foundation and that the equipment is washed. After all, the mixture gains 50% strength in just half an hour.

"If the technology is not followed, the foundations have to be broken and poured anew," explains Kostiantyn Bakharev.

The site is also used to re-preserve unused components for the wind turbines and to hydro-insulate the finished foundations.

At the same time, DTEK Renewables is discussing with various equipment suppliers the possible delivery dates for components for the second stage of the wind farm and is looking for financing for the project.
