DTEK Restores Electricity Supply to 1.3 Million Families Over One Month

In October, the enemy carried out multiple terrorist attacks on important electricity supply facilities. Such attacks resulted in hundreds of thousands of Kyiv citizens and residents of Kyiv Oblast left without electricity. DTEK power engineers in cooperation with other services made every effort to restore power supply as soon as possible. In total, electricity supply was restored for 477,000 customers in Kyiv and 255,000 customers in Kyiv Oblast in October.

The enemy caused no less damage to the energy infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. We had to restore electricity supply to 326,000 households in the oblast. And the work continues on a day-to-day basis.
Moreover, electricity was restored to another 263,000 families in Donetsk Oblast and 18,000 families in Odesa Oblast.

Despite the efforts of energy workers aimed at restoring the damaged infrastructure, there still remain 84 settlements in Donetsk Oblast that have no electricity supply. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity supply to all residents of the oblast as soon as they receive permission to carry out works from military authorities.

Due to considerable damage to the energy system, stabilization power outages still occur in some regions of the country by order of the National Power Company “Ukrenergo” in order to avoid large-scale accidents.
Outages will continue until all damaged components of the power system are restored by the National Power Company “Ukrenergo”. Please look for information about outages and restoration of power supply on the websites and social media pages of DTEK Kyiv Grids, DTEK Kyiv Region Grids, DTEK Dnipro Grids, DTEK Donetsk Grids and DTEK Odesa Grids.

Now Ukrainians can help the energy industry withstand enemy attacks. We kindly ask all citizens to consume electricity responsibly – turn on energy consuming appliances one at a time and reduce power consumption to a minimum during peak load hours in the morning from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and in the evening from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Business clients are asked to limit the use of external lighting on the facades of offices, restaurants, shopping centers, etc.

These simple steps will help reduce the need for outages and the number of disconnected customers. At present, this is the best you can do to support energy workers, who make every effort 24/7 to ensure that everyone has electricity at home.
