In early June, DTEK Renewables and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation delivered humanitarian aid to the village of Tryfonivka in Kherson Oblast. The village of Tryfonivka was liberated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in October 2022. After the de-occupation of the territory, local residents need regular assistance, as the village suffered significant damage and losses.
Therefore, 600 food packages containing wheat flour, sugar, salt, cereals, canned stewed meat and vegetables, biscuits were delivered to Tryfonovka. In addition to food kits, DTEK Renewables purchased and delivered household chemicals and hygiene products to the residents, as well as sweets for local children.
The village is now gradually recovering from the russian occupation, and DTEK Renewables is resuming the operation of DTEK Tryfonovskaya SPP located in the area. Thus, Tryfonivska SPP is already operating at 70% of its total capacity of 10 MW.
Oleksiy Kucherov, Director of DTEK Tryfonivska SPP:
"Our community went through the terrible times of russian occupation last year, and people need systematic support. DTEK Renewables has been providing humanitarian aid to the Velykooleksandrivska local community and Tryfonivka village in particular for the third time since the de-occupation of part of Kherson region. At the same time, the company's power engineers have already restored the operation of Tryfonivska solar farm to 7 MW. We are currently working on replacing the substation to supply more power to the grids."
Since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, DTEK Renewables has been providing continuous humanitarian support to communities where the company's enterprises are located or where Ukrainians internally displaced from the temporarily occupied territories live in large numbers.
Since 2014, the Foundation has provided 13 million food packages to Ukrainians. Over this time, the help from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, SCM businesses and Shakhtar football club has reached more than 18 million people.
