DTEK Group and Danish wind manufacturer Vestas have joined forces for the second phase of constructing the nation's largest wind farm. The announcement, made at the Ukrainian Pavilion in Dubai on Monday, marks a crucial step towards the completion of a project situated a mere 100 kilometers from the frontline.
DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko, quoted by POLITICO, expressed the profound significance of the project.
"This sends a signal to the world that you can build renewable projects, you can attract investments to Ukraine," remarked Timchenko.
He added that the overarching goal is for Ukraine to "become a green energy hub for Europe," envisioning Ukraine as the largest non-EU country supplying green energy to the European Union.
Amidst uncertainties, this collaboration stands as a testament to the resilience and determination of both DTEK and Vestas in advancing sustainable energy solutions on the global stage.
