Since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, DTEK Group has provided UAH 527 million to support the Armed Forces and territorial defence units as well as for humanitarian aid to the households. The priority areas of assistance are purchases of protective equipment for the military, medicines and food kits, support for forcibly displaced people as well as free electricity for medical and military facilities.
Specifically, DTEK has already handed over 175 vehicles from its own fleet to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the territorial defence units. In addition, the company provided the Ukrainian defenders with motor fuel and gas condensate, electric generators, walkie-talkies, tablets, drones, body armour, tourniquets and other things that they needed.
Since the first day of the war, DTEK has been providing free electricity to the military, hospitals and critical infrastructure facilities in Kyiv as well as the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions. The total cost of this electricity already amounts to UAH 178 million. Currently, over 100 military and healthcare facilities are receiving free electricity.
All DTEK Group companies closely cooperate with the authorities and local governmental bodies in order to provide assistance to the Ukrainian defenders and local communities as efficiently as possible. Together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, DTEK helps citizens with medicines, food kits and basic necessities.
"I am certain that the enemy can be defeated only by the joint efforts of the entire country. That is why from day one of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, DTEK and its shareholder Rinat Akhmetov have been providing all-round assistance to our defenders and people affected by the war. We will support the military and the population until the last aggressor leaves the territory of Ukraine,"
said Maxim Timchenko, DTEK’s CEO.
