Director of sustainable development at DTEK Oleksandr Kucherenko received the award for the best HR director of Ukraine according to the Delo.ua edition and “TOP-100. Ratings of the largest ". The awards ceremony took place in Kyiv as part of the HR Wisdom Summit.
“It is a great honor for me to be ranked number one in this authoritative rating, but I would like to emphasize that this win is testament to great work undertaken by DTEK’s entire HR team. Our company’s activities are guided by the UN Global Goals and ESG standards. We do our best to comply with all modern trends, which means heavily investing in the development and training of our employees”, O. Kucherenko said.
According to Mr Kucherenko, DTEK strives to create the best conditions for each employee to learn effectively, develop their talent and grow professionally.
Mr. Kucherenko also noted that from the first years of the company's existence, DTEK's management focused on the development of its people. “The fact that over 15-year time period, the company has turned from a small regional company into a leader in the Ukrainian energy sector is vindication of the strategy which we adopted,” added the Director for Sustainable Development of DTEK.
The ratings for the best HR directors were decided by: 20% vote share for readers on the Delo.ua website, 60% vote share by an expert jury, and 20% vote share by the editorial board. More than 150 participants were included in the rankings.
Experts assessed candidates according to four criteria: corporate culture (quality of internal communications), corporate education (quality of corporate educational programs for training and personnel development), CSR (quality of social HR programs, usefulness for society) and innovation (innovative solutions in the field of personnel management).
Also ranked in the top 30 were the HR directors of McDonald’s Ukraine, Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine, Coca-Cola Ukraine, OKKO, WOG, Farmak, Luxoft, GlobalLogic, SoftServe and others.
