The BBC has reported on a large-scale russian missile and drone strike against energy infrastructure across Ukraine on Wednesday morning. According to the British broadcaster, at least three thermal power plants operated by DTEK sustained serious damage in the latest attack, the fifth on the company's facilities in just seven weeks.

In his quote to the BBC, DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko emphasized the importance of restoring power quickly. "The energy these power stations produce allow millions of Ukrainians to live with dignity," he said. "We will not stop working to restore power at our facilities."

The BBC cited DTEK's statement that while repair crews were already deployed to the impacted sites, a staggering 80% of the company's total generating capacity has now been damaged or destroyed by the russian strikes. Despite the enormous challenges, Timchenko reaffirmed DTEK's commitment to keeping the lights on for ukrainians.
