Serhyi Polyanskiy is Head of Security at DTEK, a position he has held since 2007.

Serhyi joined DTEK in 2005 as Deputy Head of the Security Service and has also served as DTEK’s Head of Economic Security.

Mr Polyanskiy began his career in Ukraine’s civil service. From 1994, he worked in the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Criminal Investigations and Anti-Drug Trafficking Departments in the Donetsk region at various management positions, rising to the position of Head of the Department. His anti-terrorism training includes spells with teams in the United States, United Kingdom and Turkey.

Serhyi is a graduate of the Academy of Internal Affairs, where he qualified as a lawyer-jurist. He received a master's degree at the University of Economics and Law, majoring in Financial and Economic Security Management. He also has a diploma from the London Business School-DTEK Academy joint programme as an Energy Leader.

Mr. Polyanskiy holds the company’s highest award for performance: the DTEK Gold Mark and has been awarded the honorary Nicholas of Surgay medal for excellence in the energy industry.
