Dmytro Sakharuk has been Executive Director of DTEK Group since January, 2021, having previously served as CEO of DTEK Energy from September 2017.

Dmytro’s journey at DTEK began in March 2010, when he was appointed Deputy Legal Director and then head of department in 2011.

He started his career in 2000 as a teacher of the Department of Business Law at KhNUVS. From 2002 to 2004, he headed the legal department of the university.

In 2004, worked at Philip Morris Ukraine; since 2008, he worked at the international law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP.

He began his career at Philip Morris Ukraine in 2004 and subsequently joined international law firm Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP in 2008.

Dymtro Sakharuk graduated in 2000 with honors from the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (Ukraine) majoring in Law. The following year, he received a master’s degree in Law Enforcement with honors from the same university. Dmytro continued his education at Chicago-Kent College of Law (USA) where he received a master’s degree (L.L.M) in International and Comparative Law in 2002.

While working at DTEK, Dmytro has successfully completed both the Energy leadership program, a joint program organised by the London Business School and Academy DTEK, as well as the Transfer to General Management program at INSEAD.
