Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the DTEK Group has directed 800 million hryvnias to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and humanitarian goals. The company bought equipment for the Ukrainian military: body armor, quadcopters, portable walkie-talkies, vehicles. The Group's enterprises regularly handed over warm clothes, medicines and food kits. All assistance to defenders of Ukraine is provided within the framework of the Rinat Akhmetov Steel Front military initiative.

During the entire time of the full-scale invasion, the DTEK Group handed over almost 200 cars from its own fleet to the military, and also continues to purchase and hand over pickup trucks on a regular basis.DTEK works closely with authorities, providing lighting devices, generators, and water purification systems. Together with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, the transfer of aid to the regions is organized.Also, since the beginning of the war, the DTEK Group provided free electricity to the military, hospitals and critical infrastructure facilities in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.

In general, since February 24, DTEK companies have provided more than 100 critical infrastructure facilities with free electricity worth almost 350 million hryvnias.In total, since the beginning of the war, Rinat Akhmetov's businesses, his foundation and FC Shakhtar have sent more than UAH 4.1 billion to help Ukraine and Ukrainians, and this figure is growing every day.

Energy sector workers have been holding Ukraine’s energy front lines for more than a year. However, their contribution to daily life of ordinary people is not limited to this. They also continue to help people on the humanitarian front.

30 employees of the energy and repair facilities owned by DTEK Energy have recently visited a local blood transfusion station in Dnipropetrovsk region and once again participated in donating blood. It is extremely necessary for Ukrainian defenders, victims of the war and all those who need it. They need blood almost every second: for curing heavy injuries and to recover after surgeries. Many people cannot be donors, therefore, each drop of blood is extremely important.

Donating blood has already become a good tradition for the company’s employees who make their own contribution to saving lives. More than 860 employees of power generating, coal mining and machine building enterprises managed by DTEK Energy have donated blood for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and war victims since the beginning of the war.
