In the conditions of ongoing war, DTEK Energy’s mines are working to their maximum capacity to support reliable operation of Ukraine’s energy system, particularly, to satisfy coal needs of thermal power plants.

For this purpose, the company’s coal mining companies put some 28 new coal faces into operation back in the year 2022.

Ukraine is living through the most severe winter in its entire history. The enemy’s massive attacks on the civil and energy infrastructure facilities are the most remarkable proof of this statement. But the energy workers are doing everything possible to minimize the aftermath of these attacks and to resume the operations as fast as possible. Similarly important is the work of our miners’, who keep supporting Ukraine’s TPPs with necessary amount of fuel despite the ongoing war. And this is the guarantee that Ukrainians are going to have the lights and heating at their homes,”

said Ildar Saleev, DTEK Energy’s CEO.

DTEK Energy has procured the fuel not only to their generic TPPs, but also found the opportunity to support the state-owned generation facilities. Thus, DTEK Energy delivered more than 120 thousand tons of coal to the state-owned TPPs in order to ensure their reliable operation during the current heating season.
