Innovation DTEK becomes a member of the international coworking network Mindspace. DTEK Chief Innovation Officer Emanuele Volpe announced it during a ‘Welcoming a New Member' event held in Mindspace in London.
On October 26, Innovation DTEK team hosted a ‘Welcoming a New Member' event at London's coworking Mindspace. Emanuele Volpe, DTEK Chief Innovation Officer, said that by becoming a part of this innovative community, the company gains access to powerful British companies, promising startups, international funds and other stakeholders within an Open innovation approach that the company adheres to.
“Mindspace is a meeting place for active participants of the UK innovative ecosystem. The location also contributes to this: the coworking is located between the financial centre of London City and Shoreditch art district, where startups are concentrated. I am confident that our presence here as residents will contribute to the development of DTEK's innovative projects,” said Emanuele Volpe.
Earlier DTEK announced that company started scouting innovative solutions in Great Britain with a partner, London-based VC firm Blue Lake that works with early-stage startups and looks for innovative solutions for large businesses. With the support of its British partner, DTEK builds sustainable partnerships between the Ukrainian and British innovative ecosystems.
According to Volpe, with the help of this project, DTEK will implement promising innovative solutions in the Ukrainian market, as well as serve as a ‘window’ for Ukrainian startups to the most developed international innovative ecosystem in Europe. He said that solutions for decarbonisation, energy storage, carbon neutral hydrogen production and hydrogen system components, as well as solutions for grid flexibility and energy management are top priorities. The best innovative solutions will be piloted in business with the aim of further scaling.
