Insights from our executives

See how we’re
making the age of
intelligence real
Pole position: Cool engineering

Our engineering expertise has helped put Tara Polar
Station at the cutting edge of Arctic research.
Designed to drift locked into the Arctic ice for months at a time, Tara Polar Station presented unique design challenges. Keeping its crew of scientists and sailors safe in the crushing ice and harsh polar weather called for extreme solutions.
Capgemini is proud to have contributed our engineering expertise to this crucial asset for understanding the Arctic ecosystem and our changing climate.

Clearly revolutionary: Why did we build a transparent car?

Keeping our AI on the ball: Real-time sports insights with Outcome IQ

Reality check: When you can't trust your own eyes

The solutions transforming driving – literally.

It can be hard to visualize how digital technologies have a real impact on the physical world. That’s why we built a full-size plexiglass car that allows you to see exactly how the digital meets the physical.
AI has elevated the fan experience for millions watching the Ryder Cup.

We’re revolutionizing sports analysis by using AI to turn live performance data into actionable insights, transforming fans’ enjoyment in stadium and at home.
The age of intelligence brings perils as well as promise.

But AI’s power to deceive is a two-way street – the technology that creates deepfakes can also unmask them.

AI agents in action:
Foundations for
evaluation and
governance
AI agents are shifting from prototypes to real-world deployment, yet most organizations remain unsure how to evaluate, manage and govern them responsibly. With 82% of executives planning to adopt agents within the next one to three years, the gap between accelerating experimentation and mature oversight is widening, creating new risks in autonomy, safety, system integration and trust.
Our latest report, written in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, provides a structured foundation to help organizations evaluate, manage and govern AI agents as they shift to real-world deployment.

Where is Davos?

Davos is a mountain resort town in the Swiss Alps, located in the canton of Graubünden in eastern Switzerland. At 1,560 metres (5,120 feet), it is the highest city in Europe and was once a renowned health retreat – its flat-roofed buildings are a legacy of its sanatorium era. In 1894, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the British author best known for creating Sherlock Holmes, helped popularize skiing in Davos with a daring tour to Arosa.

Since 1971, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has convened in Davos to bring together leaders from business, government, academia, and civil society to address the world’s most pressing challenges. Its remote yet accessible location fosters focused dialogue and collaboration, making it an ideal setting for shaping global agendas.

Davos has also served as a stage for globally significant moments, including:

  • 1988: The Davos Declaration helped ease tensions between Greece and Turkey, averting potential conflict.

  • 1992: Nelson Mandela and F.W. de Klerk’s historic handshake symbolized progress toward ending apartheid.

  • 2000: The launch of GAVI, a global vaccine alliance that has since immunized over a billion children.

  • 2016: The “Fourth Industrial Revolution” was introduced as a defining theme, highlighting the impact of emerging technologies.
