A socially responsible business requires a proactive stance on compliance with the best anti-corruption requirements and transparency in its operations. Our task is to increase the level of trust and respect for the company among customers, employees, partners, international organizations, and the general public through actions aimed at preventing corruption in DTEK and the country as a whole.
This issue became especially important for DTEK with the beginning of the war. We work with many international institutions, foundations, and energy companies to obtain the technical assistance and equipment needed to restore damaged energy facilities. They all put forward demands for transparent business conduct, inadmissibility of any manifestations of corruption, and accountability.
DTEK Group was the first Ukrainian company to build a system of receiving donor aid from the very beginning - "formation of needs" to the end - "equipment received and used as intended."
In collaboration with Microsoft, we have built a CRM system that allows transparently conducting work on receiving aid and promptly reporting to donors.
Moreover, with the help of KPMG, we described business processes and integrated controls into them, following the best international practices. The international community positively received it.
We hope that DTEK will contribute to promoting an anti-corruption culture in Ukrainian society and among the recipients of donor aid (state and private companies).
The future of Ukraine, without exaggeration, will depend on the level of corruption in the country. Just as Ukraine cannot return after the war to develop the energy system according to Soviet standards, society cannot live with a corrupt government and business. So, let's take a decisive step into our European future and encourage others to join in!
