Ukrainska Pravda and DTEK have launched a joint social initiative, “Critical infrastructure”, to support independent regional media in front-line oblasts. The merchandise is produced by Elvira Gasanova (Damirli brand).
All profit from the sale of the special merchandise collection will be directed to support editorial teams in:
- Sumy, “Кордон.Медіа”;
- Kharkiv, “Ґвара”;
- Dnipro, “Дніпро.Медіа”;
- Mykolaiv, “МикВісті”;
- Kherson, “МОСТ”.
In the conditions of the full-scale Russian invasion, front-line regions are experiencing the greatest information pressure and enemy propaganda. Independent local media operate in extremely difficult conditions — counter fakes, document Russian crimes, and ensure communities have access to verified information.
“Truth is critical infrastructure for the existence of the state. Just as the existence of cities is impossible without critical infrastructure, so the existence of the country is impossible without truth. Today, regional media work under shelling, in conditions of a lack of resources, often risking their own safety, so that people have access to verified information. That is why Ukrainska Pravda together with DTEK have joined forces to support those who defend the truth where it is most vulnerable,” noted Ukrainska Pravda Editor-in-Chief Sevhil Musaieva.
The “Critical infrastructure” project is intended to unite around itself businesses and citizens who are ready to support independent journalism where it is most vulnerable today.
As part of the project, a charitable merchandise collection has been created, including T-shirts and hoodies.
