Murat Cinar

Murat Cinar was appointed CEO of DRI in September 2025, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience in the telecom and technology sectors. At DRI, he is leading the company into its next stage of development by executing its strategy to become an active player in Europe’s renewable energy market.

Murat began his career at Ericsson (1999–2010), where he led large-scale network deployments and operations in multiple countries. He later served as Chief Technology Officer at Lifecell (2011–2015) in Ukraine, where he was responsible for overseeing major infrastructure investments and network expansion strategies. In 2015, he was appointed CEO of Vega Telecom Group (2015–2021) — part of DTEK’s parent SCM Group — where he led organisational transformation, improved profitability, and completed the company’s sale to Vodafone Ukraine. In 2021, he joined Korek Telecom as Chief Transformation Officer and, in 2022, assumed the role of CEO, driving strategic growth and operational excellence for 12 million customers.

Murat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Systems from the National Technical University of Ukraine (KPI) and in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from ODTU Gaziantep in Turkey. He also completed a Master’s in Management of Foreign Economic Activity at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM, Kyiv, Ukraine). In addition, he has undertaken executive training in leadership, management and foreign economic activity, and graduated in Corporate Governance at INSEAD.
